Ingredients


Curd- 250 grams
Cucumber – 2 units or 1 cup (grated)
Salt- as per taste.
Cumin powder- 1/4 tablespoon
Black pepper- 1/4 tablespoon
Black salt- 1/4 tablespoon
Green chillies- 2 chillies
Coriander leaves- 1 tablespoon

Step by step recipe with images


1) Take a mixing jar and add 250 grams of curd in it.


2) Stir and mix it well until the curd turns creamy and smooth.


3) Grate 2 cucumber evenly.


4) Add the grated cucumber to the curd and stir well.


5) Add salt as per taste.


6) Add 1/4 tablespoon cumin powder to it.


7) Add 1/4 tablespoon of black pepper to it.


8) Add 1/4 tablespoon black salt to it.


9) Add chopped green chillies to it.


10) Add chopped coriander leaves to it.


11) Mix it well. Refrigerate it for an hour.


12) Garnish with red chilli powder and coriander leaves. Your coriander Raita is ready to be served.

Tips and Tricks


1)Make sure the cucumber is not bitter in taste.
2) Grate the cucumber evenly. Don’t discard the cucumber water. It add flavours to the raita.
3) Beat thd curd evenly, avoid lumps.

Healthier version


1) you can simply skip using green chillies, if you are allergic to it.
