Introduction
Idli is one of the most healthiest breakfast recipes. It is light and full of protein to give your morning a fresh and healthy start. 1) Firstly soak 3 cups of idli rice and 1 cup of urad dal in a pot for 5 hours.:
2) Drain off the rice and daal.
3) Transfer it to the mixing jar and add required amount of water in it.
4) Coarsely blend the batter into a thick paste, repeat it with all batches.
5)Transfer if to another Bowl and ferment it for 8 hours.
6) After 8 hours, The batter will double with a lot of air bubbles in it, indicating proper fermentation.
7)Add water as per requirement. your batter is ready. Now grease the plate with oil.
8) Pour the mixture in the plates.
9) Steam the idli in bubble steamer for 8 to 10 minutes.
10) Poke it with a knife to check whether it is perfectly cooked or not. If the knife is clean your idli is cooked perfectly. Remove the idlis from the plate using a thin knife or spoon.
11) Your idli is ready, Serve it along with chutney and sambar.
Tips and Tricks
1) Don’t blend the batter into smooth paste, which is neither too thin nor too thick.
2) Blend the batter properly… There should be no lumps in it.
