Chaach or buttermilk is a super healthy drink usually preferred during hot summers. This Indian drink has lot of health benefits. It is good for digestion and keeps you cool and hydrated during hot summer days. This chach recipe is super refreshing and the spices add much more taste and flavours to it.
Introduction
This buttermilk recipe is made by whisking curd along with water and adding spices to it. You can even add ice cubes to it but I prefer using cold water or buttermilk. In this recipe I have used water along with curd but you can even add buttermilk instead of water, It will make it much more healthier. It tastes best with stuffed parathas. Ingredients
Curd- 1 cup
Jeera powder- 1/4 tablespoon
Black salt- 1/4 tablespoon
Salt- as per taste
Black pepper powder- 1/4 tablespoon
Cold Water- 1 and 1/2 glass.
Step by step recipe with images
1) Take a mixing jar and add 1 cup curd to it.
2) Now add 1/4 tablespoon jeera powder to it.
3) Add 1/4 tablespoon of black salt to it.
4) Add salt as per taste.
5) Add 1/4 tablespoon black pepper to it.
6) Blend it well using a whisker or madhani.
7) Now add 1 and 1/2 cups cold water to it.
8) Blend it well using a whisker or madhani.
9) Your masala chaach is ready to be served. Tastes best when served chilled.
Tips and Tricks
1) Don’t alter the quantities of masala.
2) Blend the curd evenly into a smooth paste. The better you blend the better it will taste.
3) Don’t alter the quantity of water. The consistency must be like water.
Healthier version
1) You can add buttermilk instead of water. It will make it much more healthier. Buttermilk is obtained during the process of curdling cream into white butter.
