Firstly take a mixing bowl and add 1 cup of gram flour.
Now add 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped coriander leaves in it.
Now crush the garlic and chillies together. Add the crushed garlic and chillies to the mixing bowl. (You can avoid using garlic)
Add salt as per taste.
Add 1/3 tablespoon of red chilli powder in it.
Add 1/3 tablespoon of carrom seeds in it.
Add required amount of water to make a medium thick batter.
Mix it well with a spoon.
Now add a pinch of baking soda in the batter.
Mix it well and keep it aside for later.
Now slice the cottage cheese or paneer into rectangular or square pieces.
Now heat a pan with 2 cups of oil.
Add a pinch of dough to see if the oil is ready for frying or not.
If the dough comes up then the oil is perfectly ready.
Now slowly dip the paneer into the besan batter.
Coat them well.
Now slowly add the coated paneer into the hot oil for frying.
Fry it for 2 to 3 minutes until it turn golden brown now turn it on the other side.
Fry it for 2 minutes until it turns golden brown on the other side as well.
Now drain it well with the help of a spatula and serve hot. Repeat it same with the remaining batches.
Your paneer pakoda is ready to be served. Tastes best with hot tea and chutney.
